Have been playing this mod a lot lately, and enjoying it but have been limited to short games: no matter what civ I use, I get to the late 400 to mid 500 turn area in a marathon game and my game starts to chain crash. This has happened to all the games I've started - 5 or so now. I have yet to get past turn 600.

Can't load saves, old autosaves work but eventually reach the same crash point and that's that. I'd post a log but its always a CTD so not sure logs will help.

Attaching an auto save from my last game...maybe that will help.

(both dloaded and maintained via Steam)

Not sure what else you need in terms of specs.

So I've just tried this mod out this morning (thanks to the kotaku article). I think I have some problems with it's install, as my city view is just not.. right. Lots of missing items, and buttons that don't work. Is this expected? I have removed all other mods, and this is on the 'Civ V complete'

EDIT: Disregard - it seems some mod I had previously still had some files in there, even when disabled. Had to remove everything, delete the cache folder, and then reinstall faerun, and it appears to be working right...
 
For the life of me, I can't seem to figure out how to make a Pilgrimage to a City State. I'm playing Cormanth and I created a Ranger to go to the nearby city of Konigheim that says it's Center of Cult of Silvanus, so I should be able to do a pilgrimage there.
I tried it with my Ranger in my capital, having the Ranger next to Konigheim. At no point did I get an extra action to pilgrimage. I also tried donating 2 people. Still nothing.

What do I need to do to make my Ranger conduct a pilgrimage?

I'm pretty sure that the city-state needs to offer you a quest before you can go- a silver fist will appear below the city-state's name when there is a quest available. That's worked for me.

yes, you need to complete a quest for the city state in order to get its religion, and quests don't show up all the time, only when a raised fist is displayed next to their name.
on the other hand, i found these religions rather irrelevant, with no impact on the game
 
Great mod so far (although I'm totally lost in those weird names yet, so far I recognize just about 3 civs by their leaders in messages).

I'm just curious about one thing - warmongering penalty - it seem rather high. I mean, really EXTREME. I've conquered one city and I got "extreme" warmongering hate from every other civ. It's kinda bad since there are a lot of good units I have absolutely no use for without war going on. Other civs seem to be too afraid to fight me directly, so I have an army just to fend off an occasional barbarian..

Maybe next game I'll choose orcs or something else that's evil and try to go on a rampage. So far I've tried Mithral Hall (very, very bad starting point for any playstyle) for good and Waterdeep, Amn and Impiltur for neutral.
 
Dunno why, but this mod doesn't work for any map size besides Standard for me. Don't get me wrong, large or huge map loads just fine at the start, but you cannot save it - it just generates corrupted save that crashes the game when you try to load it :S
 
Really interesting mod, was having a lot of fun until my entire computer froze on turn 43. :(

(FYI, Brave New World v. 6, through Steam after a fresh download.)

I'd recommend using the built-in scenario map.
 
First, I just wanted to say that this is a great mod! I think it is amazingly well done.

I just had a couple questions about where it was going development wise.

1. Where are you going with cults and faith? It seems like faith/divine favor can't be used for anything other than supporting clerics. Are there going to be able to purchase cult buildings or units with faith?

2. I was wondering why you changed the victory conditions from the gk version. The new faith victory seems more like a domination victory? Is this intentional? Why not spread one cult which you adopt?
Also there doesn't seem to be a way to get a lot of political influence? (i.e. no great works).

BNW v.6, Faerun map w/ Scenario, Cormanthor.
For some reason Myth Drannor can't build The Moonbridge (doesn't even show up in the list). It shows in Shadowdale and is constructable there. Is there some requirement that's not listed or is this a bug?
 
Amazing mod! The long sought-after FFH for civ 5!
Only one thing: the evocation tree. I wanted to nuke the world with my ungodly spell powers. Fireball was a good start, but there's nothing after it, no cone of cold, chain lightning, meteor swarm :(
Is this a technical problem? The engine just can't handle it? Or a balance problem, making arcane units too strong?

(I've only been playing for a day so kindly inform me if I'm just missing something)
 
Bug report: since day 1 the button for "select new research" has not worked, but its easy enough to manually bring up the research window. Unfortunately there's no hotkey for "steal tech" so whenever I get that the game is stuck. Any ideas?
 
Balance issue: city strength

At the game start, the AI grabbed a prime piece of real estate near my only city. I shifted all my attention to military and attacked with a hero and 7-8 tier 2 units. The AI put a wizard in the defending city and repelled me effortlessly. There was absolutely no way I could take it. Even after the early game phase, taking cities is always hard, I never even consider it unless I have a mass of arcane specialists or Envoy units.

Suggestion: reduce city strength or add an early game siege unit.
 
Hey!

You did a super job on this mod, thank you for all the countless hours you used on this mod and all the hard work you put into this.

I only have one thing to pick on... UNITS!.. Why not ask other modders to use their elven archers or dwarf axemen units in the game... it ruins the entire experience to be the dwarves, but your workers are humans and human warriors, archers.... It ruins the experience for us visual monkeys :)

I installed the mod and it shows up in game under the mods section.

When I select it, it says it's setting stuff up, but then it brings me to the standard start up screen. And I see nothing about the mod.

Help?
 
I am also experiencing difficulties launching this mod. Is it outdated and abondoned ?
