Heroes of the Three Kingdoms

History of the Three Kingdoms is amazing, Heroes is a bit, well, too much. Would love to see it more balanced toward History with just a dash of Heroes.

This is the first Merged version of two really large MODs, so do expect to see some bugs and balance problems:)
Next version will focus on fix these bugs and problems, and your comments on how to improve this MOD is more than welcome
 
after completing one of the branch in your social policy, you're supposed to be able to hire heroes with money and when your heroes died, they're supposed to be revived in 3 turns. However, neither has an effect in my game. Please help.

You can buy hero with gold only when your Fame is not enough to buy the Hero
And the 3 turns revive is on for AI player, since they cant use Tavern
 
That looks like a cache problem
Delete everything in "My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\cache" and restart

I appreciate the suggestion, but the CiV/cache folder contains 2 folders "downloads" and "images" and a number of Civ5...Database files (amongst others). I don't think I want to simply delete the entire cache content... :nono:
 
I've deleted it countless times without problems.

Fix the bug that Emperor Xian can use Hero Skill to attack

Add a lot of City Names
Cow can be displayed as Strategic Resource correctly now
Remove all Militaristic City-States, fix the bug that they can grant Hero Units
Fix the bug that Hero Sun Shangxiang can't Liu Bei join in Red Cliff War

Policy Change:
Laws of Jin now provide no resistance in captured city
Remove the Free Policies in Royal Court and Confucian Classics
Remove some Culture Bonus in Confucian Classics, and more Faith Bonus
Inheritance(Official Selection) provide an extra bonuse of immediately complete units in production in all cities
Tribute System are more powerful now, the Allies City-States Science bonus are increased to 40% are can get it when adopting Tribute System
Attendance(Tribute System) now increase Influence to all City by 20 immediately

Wonder Change:
Zheng's Academy now provide +5 Science/Culture/Faith
Add Great Wall and Terracotta Army to this MOD, Terracotta Army provide +5 Food/Production/Gold
Stone Sentinel Maze now provide Golden Ages increased by 50% and an extra spy
Manner of Han Court now provide 10 turns of Culture and Science output of the city that complete this wonder
National Epic now provide an extra effect of an Extra Movement promotion for all Heroes
The Han's Great Wall now increase Defense by 25% in all Cities and provides free Walls in all cities
Change the prereq tech for some national wonders, now those Science/Culture national wonders require upper line tech, and Militaristic/Production/Gold national wonders require lower line tech

Warlord Change:
Liu Bei:
"We Love the King Day" changed to 5 turns, Unhappiness changed to double(down from +200%)
Yuan Shao:
Yuan's Mansion now provides 1 extra copy of each improved luxury resource
Meng Huo:
Settlement now provides +1 Production +1 Food from each worked Forest tile
Sun Jian:
20% Hero Skill damages convert to research
Ma Teng:
Receive free National Wonder in your Capital upon conquest of enemy city
Dong Zhuo:
Discover free Tech upon conquest of enemy city(only once for each city)
Liu Zhang:
Can build Unique Wonder of Liu Bei and Sun Quan, but get a Halberdier instead of Heroes

Other Balance Change:
Increase Research of City-States, more Culture bonus from friendly City-States
Mounted units now have 3 moves(down from 4)
Increase Strength and Cost for spearman units
Can by Diplomatic Units with gold
Everyone get free Spy at Era of Red Cliff War
Since the new wonder names are not familiar to everyone, add some postfix in () to these names:
-- (National) in Yellow for national wonders
-- (Hero) in Green for Wonders that provide a Hero

Hi, I would like to setup a game and using advanced setup. But I cannot "cant use advanced setup dlc missing..."
Is there a way to solve this? I would like to use advanced setup.

unfortunately, that may cause the game to crash in this version, so I disable the advanced setup button, will try to make it work in next version

An update:
Attached is a patch that will enable advanced setup, extract it here:
MODS\Heroes of the Three Kingdoms (v 16)\UI
and replace the lua file with the same name

but I have not test this patch, please let me know if it is working or not:)
 
Hi. Thank you, I was testing it. Result:
Its not crashing :) ... actually nothing happening ;) I can klick on advanced setup as often I want, there is no advanced setup menu :(

After completing all policies in taxation, gold to buy Hero in tarvern reduced by half
 
Regardless of civ, I crash on the first turn a few seconds after selecting the leader unit. I've tried clearing my cache to no avail, so some assistance would be appreciated.

I've seen bug like this before, since an older version of this MOD was not deleted. Make sure to delete all older versions.

If that's not the problem, post more detail here, your OS, civ5 version, DLCs you have, other MODs actived, and if you can use SDK, the live tuner output of LUA error
