Civ V not loading from Steam

Hi all,

I reactivated my Steam account after a year of non-use. I'm on a new computer now, but can't get CIV V to load. I see the quick flash of a CIV screen and then nothing. I waited 10-15 minutes and then shut down my computer and tried again, but same thing, CIV V would not load.

Does anyone know a reason for this? I did open a ticket with 2k, but thought people here might also know what could be wrong.

I had similar problems last week with Steam. Try to log in at the Steam main site to verify your Steam account. If you can't log in (what happened to me), folllow the procedure to reset your password.

Try deleting the local content and re-downloading. I know there were problems with some programs when you upgraded to Windows 10 and this fixed most of those problems.
