I've never really messed around with the World Age option in advanced settings. From what I read it seemed old worlds (5 billion years) are flatter, mountains have sunk back into the earth or grown apart form each other, creating less range-like mountains and more 'random' mountains and hills.
However, did a standard 5 billion year Pangea map and it created almost different continents that were connected by thin strips of land; made for a nice variation.
Any other observations of world age on specific map types?
