Hmmm, given that we already have Astronomy and have a bit of a tech advantage, now might be a great time to launch a Golden Age.
Do we still have a Great Artist fortified somewhere? The F5 screen should tell us what unit types we have. If yes, a Great Artist could be used to launch a Golden Age.
We didn't already launch a Golden Age using a Great Person yet, did we? If not, then we'll only need 1 Great Person to launch our Golden Age. If we did, then we'll need 2 Great People to launch our Golden Age.
Anyway, the idea of the Golden Age would be to:
a) Run Representation (which we should already be running) and Caste System, then hire a ton of Representation-enchanced Scientists across our empire
AND
b) BEFORE the Golden Age ends (1 turn left on the Golden Age), switch from Representation -> Police State (for building Military Units) and Caste System -> Slavery (for whipping a building on the SECOND turn that a captured City comes out of revolt)
A Golden Age gives us extra Great People Points, which is another reason why we will want to hire Scientist Specialists everywhere on the first turn of the Golden Age, after ensuring that we are running both of the Representation (improved Specialists) and Caste System (infinite Scientist Specialists) Civics.
A Golden Age also removes the Anarchy period (in BtS only) when switching between Civics, so we'll take advantage of this fact on the first turn of the Golden Age as well as on the last turn of the Golden Age.
Most Cities should probably finish off their current build items and then either switch to building Barracks + land units or Galleons.
As for teching, I'm not sure where we're at, but one option could be to first research Engineering and then, once we have learned Engineering, click on the Military Tradition tech--the tech that enables Cuirassiers (not Military Science, which enables Grenadiers). We won't get Gunpowder in this manner but we will unlock the Taj Mahal (for another future Golden Age) and we can always trade Gunpowder from an AI.
If no AI gets Gunpowder, then the situation is even better, as we can stick with using Macemen, Pikemen, Catapults, Trebuchets, possibly some Longbowmen (Archers for now if we don't know Feudalism), and won't have to face Musketeers.
We do NOT want to learn Feudalism if we don't already know it until every AI that we have met learns it, as learning it ourselves will just speed up other AIs learning it. Longbowmen in our hands won't help us very much but Longbowmen in the hands of more AIs will slow us down.
If we can generate a Golden Age without needing to use up our Great Engineer, then we should save the Great Engineer to build the Taj Mahal.
Getting Engineering before going after Military Tradition will be important, since Engineering unlocks Trebuchets, Pikemen, and gives our units faster travel times over our Road network, which allows our newly-built units to arrive at our Galleons that much faster.
We should aim to capture all of Hannibal's Cities. However, for future AIs, we could consider trying to capitulate them, as by then most or all AIs will know Feudalism anyway, meaning that we can learn it at that time for capitulations. Hannibal is close enough to our core empire that we might as well aim to keep his good Cities for ourselves (feel free to raze a really junky City as any more than 3 Cities per island can start to cost us a LOT in terms of Colonial Maintenance fees).
