A Civ V retrospective: what features do you love and, which ones do you hate?

Things I love
-Being able to buy tiles
-1 Unit per Tile
-City States
-Natural Wonders!
-National Wonders (National College, National Epic, etc.)
-Social Policies
-World Congress, and Diplomacy
-Customizable Religion
-Unit Promotions
-Trade Routes

A related topic would be things that were omitted from civ4 that we really miss in civ5, and for me I really missed the "first to..." bonuses. First to economics got a free GM, first to literature got a free GA, and so on.
I dunno, I stopped following the civ4 forums after the second expansion came out because I was too broke to get it and figured future posts wouldn't be relevant to me. Did we all decide that we didn't like the "first to..." bonuses?

Some of the first to bonuses are pretty good. First to bonuses have been up since civ 2. Thats where liberalism first started to give a free tech for first to liberalism.

I personally find that the customisable religions are a great feature of Civ5 and if your religion is dominant it is very beneficial to your strategy, particularly in longer games
