Welcome to this challenge !
First to participate and share your experience you must download the mod here by simply clicking subscribe on the mod workshop page :
Workshop link.
OR download it here manually:
Dropbox link
If you picked the workshop version you are set to go ! If the mod doesn't appear in the game menu, try downloading the mod manually.
To install the mod manually just pick the file above from dropbox and drop it in your mod folder. If the mod doesn't appear in the game menu, open the file as if it were a ".rar" file and extract the directory in it to your mods directory. It it still doesn't work try deleting your cache folder in the civ5 documents folder and then restart the game.
PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT ONLY THE MOD IS ACTIVATED (that you do not have NQMod installed as a DLC for example). This save also uses version 6.
Sadly the mod is not compatible with the mac version of the game. You would have to emulate windows to be able to play on a mac (mac users may help you with this).

I have decided to make the first challenge on Immortal. It should provide a pretty interesting challenge for Deity player nonetheless and definetely a tough one for immortal players.
Note that the mod introduces a DemiGod difficulty between Immortal and Deity.
I have decided to move Immortal to level 6 as a result but most of the AI bonuses are the same as the base game Immortal.
You will play as Carthage with the following bonuses compared to Vanilla:
-Carthage get a free Cothon instead of a free Harbor. The Cothon is a special harbor that gives 2 gold to ocean tiles.
-The elephant cost less than it used to (75 instead of 100).
-The Quinquireme, like the Trireme, is stronger but cost a little more (60 instead of 45).
Starting area:
Settings:
There are no particular way of winning that challenge. Just win it and share your thoughts and strategies.
The mod change list is a bit long but here are a few pointers to remember when starting the game:
-The AI is mean. Really, be on your guard and ready to battle your neighbours. They will desire your land. Regardless of your size.
-The AI is a good techer and can run away pretty hard if left unchecked. Be wary of letting AIs eat other AIs.
-Units are necessary to defend (cities are weak !) and melee units are necessary for attacks and defense. An undefended or barely defended city will fall !
-Expanding and conquering is less punishing and even often time required
-The late game is slowed down a lot and in general science is somewhat slower. It's likely you'll need hospital and centers if you aim for a late science victory.
-Expanding or conquering can also help.
-International routes are really good AND do not get deleted when declared on.
-Strategics go for 1gpt or 30gold
-Settling on flat gives the same yield as settling on a hill (2F 2H).
-All great person are on different counters but cost a bit more to make. Scientists and writers are fixed value on birth. Great works give more culture.
-Overall it's very likely that you will have a lot more policies so feel free to mix trees together.
-Many many small changes.
For a more detailed list go there:

Hints for the map/civ :
-Work boats are substantially better in the mod (and the lighthouse worse) giving 1F 1H for 30hammers.
-Gold is a bit more efficient at buying stuff and in general more gold is available on luxury tiles.
-Make units. You'll get attacked, almost guaranteed. And if you don't, well you have units ready to capture a few cities. Try to get a good mix of melee for blocking/damage and range units for harassment and focusing down units.
-Iron is an important resource, while you have elephants don't forget that you may need Longswordmen.
-The map script usually makes juicy island around the continents.
-Take your time to create a solid empire. The National College is no longer the top priority.
-Your elephants and quinquireme are excellent units. If used at the right time you can leverage a very nice beginning with it.
-Be aware of other Civs UU, they hurt ! Kill someone before they get it or wait for it to become obsolete while being ready.
And most of all : good luck and have fun.
