Maybe it's a silly question,but I'll asked it anyway There are specific advances which,when descovered first,grant you free G. People.Is there one for free G.Prophet?

I agree, I always seem to be getting too many, especially when I get the Stonehenge (which is probably why they didn't give one).

My problem with Great Prophets is how to stop getting them, especially later in the game when they cannot be used to research any technologies.

You can' avoid getting GP-Points from your wonders. But try not to use priest specialist (and check that the city manager don't hire one). Hire Specialists of just one type in that city.
If you still get a Prophet, let him build a shrine or join your best money-making city.

The reason they don't have a tech that gives you a great prophet is because they have techs that give you a religion, so you get those free from technology instead of a prophet

You can turn a missionary into a Great Prophet by having him wander outside your cultural bondaries for 20 turns without being killed by animals or other barbarians.

It's pretty easy to fix if you like. I make divine right get a free great prophet, cuz I think the tech is not so hot, seeing as Islam never ends up very influential anyway. My hope is that giving it the free prophet makes it somewhat worthwhile cuz as soon as you found Islam you can have its shrine if you like.
