Which game pace do you prefer?

Was playing standard, but have been playing quick the last few games....never tried the longer ones.

Marathon. I hate launching an invasion with swordsmen, and by the time my first reinforcements arrive we're using muskets. Marathon although its an button mashing fest for the first 40 turns really lets you get into a game and savor each building/unit.

I personally like quick. I enjoy being able to finish a game in less than a week (don't have the time to devote 40+ hours to a marathon game)

I wish I had that problem. I never teched that quick (without cheating), and if I'm playing Marathon, it will be forever before that type of change happens. How... just... how?
