Holy cow.

That is just so bizarre and encouraging and amazing.

Is this a real story? Just sounds to far fetched.

A sleeping pill waking vegitative people? How bizarrely ironic.

Wow. Um, I need to get some of this, since I feel vegetative right about now.

This definetly needs to be researched. File a dossier straight away comrade!

Holy Crap!!!!

What a weird coincidence. I just started to synthesize a new series of compounds last week and I downloaded a paper because I was interested in two of the reactions described in there. So during this week I am following the procedures described in that paper. Now I am reading Shane's post and I just went to check the chemical structure of Zolpidem, and, OMG, OMG, OMG it turns out that the paper I downloaded last week is the one where the synthesis of Zolpidem was described for first time.

That is just an amazing coincidence.

BTW, that paper describes how to synthesize Zolpidem and derivatives and the very first structure-activity results.

At one of my boarding schools they had practically my whole dorm on Ambien at one point. The kids loved it. I honestly think a few of them got high off it (and others simply claimed to feel that way). We used to fight (no hits neck or above or below the belt) until we exhausted ourselves. It certainly didn't seem to help putting anyone to sleep.
