Anyways....
It's something that irks me to no extent:
When playing as India, I must rename Bombay to Mumbai, Madras to Chennai, Calcutta to Kolkatta, etc. The former names are Western, archaic, and unrecognized by the Indian government. It's stupid that they're even in the game.
And yes, I'm Indian.

Isn't there a text file somewhere in the program where you can modify the list permanently?
A little bit too sensitive to the "gay" remark. It is funny in a Jr High type of way.

I like using names of TV characters as my leaders, and setting the civ choice to random. I've had Londo Mollari of the French and Kathryn Janeway of the Koreans.
