Game is too short

The first game I finished ended in 2050 A.D and I had just gotton into the industrial age. I was also technologicaly more advance than the other AI civs I was playing aganist. Is there something wrong????

Try a harder level...AI will become more advanced faster...forcing you to do it faster(thru raising science rate) or become obliverated by the computer...

try trading technologies with other civs. If you have 4 civs each working on 1 tech it will go 4x more slowly overall than 4 civs working on 4 techs.
