I have a problem, folks.
I have several friends that I've introduced to Civ V, and we all enjoy playing multiplayer together. But our multiplayer matches can be somewhat... lopsided, to say the least. It varies with how bad my start is and how seriously I play, but the bottom line is that they just aren't on the same skill level as I am. That's not me bragging: I play the game on Immortal difficulty while some of them have never even gone beyond Prince, and it shows when I end up chugging along with everyone two eras behind me.
I'm looking for interesting ways to approach the game that could give me more of a challenge and potentially even out the playing field for my opponents: unusual strategies and unorthodox victory paths that I could try to mix things up a bit.
Any suggestions?
