Strange Occurence

I was playing a game today as the Sumerians and I was taking over Korea. I had some troops next to city A ready to attack it while some other troops near city B. I take city B and the message pops up, I install a governer. Then another message pops up saying that I have captured city A....I chose install governer. I look at the city and my troops are still next to it. In fact, inside the city, Korea has two riflemen, two workers and a ship! But it is my city. The next turn, their riflemen and other troops left the city and went to fight elsewhere.

How did this happen? Only thing I can maybe think is cultural takeover but I wasn't particularly strong in culture near there...only had one recently captured city near it. Unfortunately I didn't make a save near there.

Yeah its a weird bug I had already heard of, dont know why or how it happens though.

Maybe Korea got a box that said that they should gift the city to you and it would make you happy.
