Battle at Startouch Spire!

Disciple: 800XP
Quarantine: 800XP
Neuron: 800XP(+300XP catchup bonus=1100XP)(Level Up! +10HP and +1 Feat)
Bunnyman: 800XP
Kinetic Kitten: 800XP(+150XP catchup bonus=950XP)
The Shooter Guy: 800XP(+200XP catchup bonus=1000XP)(Level Up! +11HP)

The team ventured to Startouch Spire with Spirit in an effort to learn what Zarniwoop did when he touched Seraph in Los Angeles, and to rescue him and his employees from a gang of Constantine City gang members who were attempting to steal from Zarniwoop Industries. The gang succumbed easily to the team's vicious barrage of attacks and Zarniwoop was saved!

After the battle, Neuron interrogated a surrendered mook and found out that the men were hired to attack Zarniwoop by the Arbiter, who apparently has a computerized voice, like a robot's. At the same time, Spirit removed the memory chip from Zarniwoop's battlesuit and his surveillance system, believing that Zarniwoop himself was behind the attack on Startouch Spire, attempting to convince heroes to show off their abilities where he might replicate them.

At the end of the day, Spirit told every team member how impressed she was with them, and promised to let your assorted parents, uncles, mentors and weird elderly American friends know how well you did.

Confirming that there will be a mission Thursday night at 5 EST. However, since this week is Lani's spring break week from dance, she'll be home in the evenings so a Monday mission is unlikely. I'll be in chat if I decide to do one, but I wouldn't count on it.

Next mission will either be American Eagle or Sovereign Eagle, unless Celt, Lec or Arrow submit ideas I like better than my current ones.

No problem, I won't be home before 6 anyway :p

The Shipper is Dead!!!!

Disciple: 850XP(Level Up! +10HP)
Quarantine: 850XP(Level Up! +12HP)
Neuron: 850XP(+450XP catchup bonus=1300XP)
Bunnyman: 850XP(Level Up! +10HP)
Raija Girl: 850XP(+500XP catchup bonus=1350XP)
The Shooter Guy: 600XP(Level Up! +11HP and +1 Feat)
Mockingbird: Level Up!

What happened first: the Team heard of a disturbance in Richmond, and Igneous, one of Bunnyman's friends, vanished and was purportedly seen with "a lady with crazy eyes" leading to American Eagle being sent in to investigate...and vanishing.

The second attempt at infiltrating Richmond came with Sovereign Eagleson leading the Junior League in and locating Night Owl and Polecat. Sovereign quickly deduced that Night Owl was responsible for the disappearances and the group attacked...only to learn that the villains were out shopping and they really had no idea what was going on. They did say the Shipper was seen around the Virginia Capitol, and some emotional reading and thought detection from Disciple and Neuron enabled the team to track the villain and her two captives down.

Unfortunately, when cornered, Shipper attempted to read her slash fanfiction to the group and Neuron confiscated her manuscript, which led to Shipper siccing American Eagle and Igneous on the PCs and unveiling a new power by creating a Mary Sue artificial construct, which Quarantine immediately attempted to eat.

Raija Girl and Bunnyman, working together, managed to take out Shipper and end her control over Igneous and American Eagle before things got out of hand, and Mary the Mary Sue vanished into the air. Mockingbird and Disciple performed an unintentional good cop/bad cop routine interrogating Shipper to find out why she'd gone after Igneous and Eagle, and she name-dropped the Arbiter before clamming up. Disciple convinced her to talk.

And that's when the sniper shot her.

Disciple and Quarantine chased the fleeing sniper while Raija Girl and Bunnyman investigated the source of the shot itself, finding a tripod and rifle with a note attached to it, saying "We will meet again. -Iz". Meanwhile the actual sniper escaped by blowing up a subway station on his pursuers, but not before Kerri and Arthur got a good look at him - a nondescript Asian man with a bow and sword, and a random joe with a buttload of guns.

After the sniper's escape, the team returned to the Hall of Heroes to find Spirit unconscious and the Depresser having escaped.

Good mission, huh?

It only gets darker from here, everyone, so be ready for the fight of your lives next time. Speaking of, next mission Monday at 5EST, and at least one PC is going to die. Cheers. :goodjob:

New characters now start with 1750XP, so at level two.

Mockingbird: Level Up!

All new characters now start with 2300XP, so at Level Three.

The team deployed into Triarch City to investigate a group of gangsters that were sniffing around a Crescent Group cargo ship. When they arrived, however, the gangsters were gone, and in their place was a team of seven unusual individuals:
  • Shot in the Dark, Shooter Guy's mentor
  • Gothica, a teenage girl in a black costume who appeared to have Depresser's powers
  • Hachiman, a tall Asian man with swords and a resemblance to Asuka
  • Bat-girl, a very young girl with a giant bat on her arm. The bat's name is Dexter, and he was wearing a mask.
  • Sally Adams, a completely unthreatening brunette with psychic powers to rival Neuron's
  • Aitvaras, a young man with poorly-disguised wings who breathed smoke and had scaly skin that no one seemed to notice
  • Kevin, an unusual young man in ratty clothes with a bandana over his head
They admitted to killing the gangsters, and when Seraph called them on it, Shot in the Dark gave him a long lecture about the League abandoning Terrace City(?) and specifically citing Spirit and American Eagle's names. Before Shot and Seraph could engage in a fistfight, Gordon backed down and asked to check the ship and leave. Shot acquiesced, and then Bruce Williams burst in with an IFV and a detachment of US Army troops, immediately grappling with Kerri and injecting her with the Avalon Antivirus.

The fight was quick and dirty, with Shot in the Dark killing several soldiers while his team scattered. Seraph took out the IFV with some luck manipulation, and Bruce himself was grapple-kicked into the harbor by Kelsey after he defeated Jasper. Shot left, chasing the remaining soldiers who had apparently had enough of brawling with teenagers, and all was well.

Until Bruce climbed back out of the harbor, hurled Kelsey into a wall, and stabbed Seraph, his brass knuckles glowing a strange color while he did.

This left the PCs alone with an incredibly powerful combatant, and the ensuing battle was absolutely vicious. Eventually, a combination of Neuron's illusions, Raija Girl's ranged attacks and Kitten's melee fighting took out Bruce's knee and Disciple imprisoned him in a barrier.

That's when Depresser announced over all radio frequencies that he was in control of Triarch City, and that he would be purging it of men like Christian Dale before the morning - by destroying the city, specifically stating that the "innocents" of Terrace had forfeit their right to that term by allowing men like Dale and Aquana to rule them. He also claimed that any attempt by the League of Heroes to enter Triarch would result in the immediate destruction of the city.

The mentors over comms were divided: Beacon, Spirit and Inertia told the Junior League to withdraw, but the Eagles and Saiba were adamant that since they were there and Depresser would be watching for the major members of the league, the JLH were the only ones who could stop him. Most of the team disconnected their comms to avoid the argument, and while Disciple, Kerri, Kelsey and Erwin remained with Seraph's body in various states of panic and anger, Neuron and Raija Girl flew after Shot in the Dark's team and met them on the roof of a church.

They hammered out a quick alliance against Depresser, discovering in the process that Gothica is his daughter(and has a scathing opinion of her dad). Shot's team left to check major central locations in the city, leaving the Junior League with the task of scoping out Dale Tower, City Hall and the cargo ship they came to examine.

And thus ended Triarch City, Part One.

Next mission, a direct continuation of this one, will be held either Monday or Thursday at 5PM EST. I'm not sure if I'll be able to run Monday, which combined with Patchy's problematic schedule to move the mission to today. This will not be a long-term arrangement. There's about an even chance that there will be a mission Monday at the usual time, so check into chat around five and see if I'm there.

The Battle for Triarch City is about to begin...

Disciple: 1200XP
Neuron: 1200XP
Raija Girl: 1200XP
Kinetic Kitten: 1200XP
Bunnyman: 1200XP
The Shooter Guy: 1200XP(+800XP catchup bonus=2000XP)(Level Up! +11HP and +1Feat)

New characters now start with 3200XP

The mission began with the team around Seraph's bloodstained corpse, trying to figure out what to do. Their first decision, naturally, was to locate the Depresser and his bomb to prevent him from destroying Triarch City - for that task, they elected to begin at Dale Tower, the natural center point of the city. Unfortunately, the streets were guarded by a small army of gangsters and the attempt to approach via the sky was interrupted by an attack helicopter with a chaingun and missiles. Disciple, Kinetic Kitten and Mockingbird joined up with Bunnyman aboard the Oracle, the Crescent Group cargo ship they initially came to investigate, and there they found Artemis Fletcher and a small army of her robots. Meanwhile, Neuron and Raija Girl investigated City Hall and found it empty, but with a pair of thugs outside protecting it from looters or do-gooders.

After a tense stand-off that was not helped by Kelsey and Erwin's gung-ho superheroic attitudes, Steele gangsters attacked the Oracle and the team fought them off, aided by Artemis(who showed surprising skill with a pistol and what looked like a mind-control device). Neuron and Raija Girl interrogated the two thugs they took captive and gained a wealth of new information: Depresser was in Dale Tower, along with the Arbiter, Mayor James, and "some scary looking Asian guys." In addition, they discovered that Christian Dale's daughter Phoebe apparently developed powers at some point in her childhood(the rumor was she'd gotten so angry at her dad that she'd spontaneously gained abilities) that included at least telepathy and illusion generation.

That was when Depresser put out another announcement: for reasons that undoubtedly made sense to them at the time, American Eagle and Spirit had attempted to attack the city and defeat him, and his ally Iznagi Yumi had brought them both into his custody. He declared that any further interference from capes would bring about the city's destruction, and clarified that he demanded a ransom of five billion USD from the government.

At this, Artemis seemed to grow incensed, and she accepted Disciple's proposal of a truce and temporary alliance, using her army to clear the way to Dale Tower so that the JLH could rescue their mentors and defeat Depresser. When the question of Spirit's whereabouts came up, Artemis unveiled a DNA scanning device based on Spirit's abilities...and then input some of her own blood into it, announcing that she was Spirit's half-sister. After confirming that Spirit is in Dale Tower, Artemis insisted on coming with the JLH on their rescue/assault, and launched her robotic legion into motion.

Next mission will be the conclusion of Triarch City's 3-parter and will take place Thursday at 5PM EST. Hopefully I won't have to split it into two sessions.(Unless the rolls go like those at OA's first mission, I highly doubt it will happen)

Casual Reminder for when you level up: If you don't TELL ME you've taken a Feat, I won't know about it. Post in the thread or catch me on chat.

Triarch City is Safe!

Disciple: 1800XP(Level Up! +10HP)
Neuron: 1800XP(Level Up! +10HP)
Raija Girl: 1800XP(Level Up! +10HP)
Quarantine: 1800XP(+1200XP catchup bonus=3000XP)(Level Up! +12HP)
Bunnyman: 1800XP(Level Up! +10HP)
The Shooter Guy: 1800XP(+800XP catchup bonus=2600XP)(Level Up! +11HP)

All new characters now start with 3900XP.

The Team's first action was to break into Dale Tower using Bunnyman's tunneling skills, and then rescue Spirit and American Eagle from captivity. This was much simpler than it might have been, especially since Artemis somehow knew the combination to the cell the two mentors were imprisoned in but no member of the Team wondered how or why. That done, Artemis left to lead her robotic legion while the heroes journeyed to the penthouse to battle Depresser and his team of supervillains, which was revealed to comprise five members:

  • The Depresser
  • Iznagi Yumi
  • Christian Dale, AKA Steele
  • Mayor James, AKA Aquana
  • Diamondback

The Arbiter appeared at the beginning of the fight, only to be revealed as a decoy played by a distraught Anna Dale. After a vicious brawl in which Spirit was nearly killed, Depresser and Yumi fled the scene on a helicopter, leaving the team victorious after defeating Aquana before she could flood the city.

Short writeup, I know, but I don't feel like details right now. See you all Monday at 5PM for our next mission. Thursday and probably next Monday will be pure RP missions, and then we'll likely start a mission or two in Jiro City or New Haven.

Anyone who has ideas for the setting of the RP missions, feel free to post them in thread. Also still soliciting mentor mission ideas, especially for Beacon/Watcher, Inertia and Saiba.

The TRP and the Junior League have clashed!

Disciple: +1000XP
Bunnyman: +1000XP
Raija Girl: +1000XP
Neuron: +1000XP
Quarantine: +500XP
The Shooter Guy: +500XP

All new characters now start with 4000XP, so at Level 4.

The team breached Startouch Spire with Saiba, Beacon and Spirit, and confronted Zarniwoop with the brass knuckles used on Seraph, which he revealed to be a "power reversal device" coded to Seraph's particular powerset and created using data extracted in Los Angeles. Zarniwoop seemed much more concerned with whether the device worked than whether people died because of it, and Spirit grew incensed and struck him. A debate sprung up over what to do with Zarniwoop, with Bunnyman suggesting the League of Heroes give him employment while Spirit championed just killing him or fabricating evidence to arrest him over.

Then Shot in the Dark and the TRP showed up, and there was a fight when they tried to off Zarniwoop. The TRP was defeated and Shot escaped, but then the debate expanded to encompass what to do with the TRP as well. It was eventually decided to take Zarniwoop into protective custody at Disciple's suggestion and release the TRP, since they were the only protectors currently operating in Triarch City.

This mission was a full on Monday and an RP on Thursday, and there will be another RP tomorrow. This upcoming Thursday will be a full-on mission, though not as heavy as the Triarch arc and definitely a stand-alone or loosely-linked mission instead of a "part 1 of X". We'll have quite a bit of RP and lighter missions for the next little while as I actually figure out what I'm doing assemble my notes for the next spate of WhamMissions.

Disturbances in New Haven...

Disciple: +1000XP
Bunnyman: +1000XP
Raija Girl: +1000XP
Neuron: +1000XP

New characters now start with 4700XP.

The team deployed to New Haven to investigate a series of electrical disturbances alongside Watcher. The Junior League quickly located the source of the situation in the old Delvon Chemicals plant. Upon arrival, they discovered that the problem was not an attack by Shadow, but a mechanical android who referred to herself as "the firstborn" and claimed to come from the same manufacturer as Raija Girl. She kept repeating that her "father" didn't love her and only cared for Raija and Hachiman(from the TRP), and eventually decided to eliminate them so that their "father" would only have her to love. Bunnyman nicknamed her "Daisy" once it was revealed that she had no name.

She was defeated and returned to the League's headquarters, where both Kelsey and Saibarenja, for their own reasons, advocated taking her to Tachibana to have her software rewritten with elements from Raija and Saiba's personalities. Raija disagreed and there was a heated verbal exchange that ended with her storming out of the Hall, unable to convince Saiba of her perspective.

I am still soliciting mentor mission ideas from anyone who wants to provide them, and will be for the foreseeable future(priorty goes to anything featuring Inertia or Beacon, since they haven't gotten mentor-missions yet.)

See you tomorrow.

John Henry has struck!

Disciple: +800XP
Bunnyman: +800XP
Raija Girl: +800XP
Neuron: +800XP
Quarantine: +800XP(+700XP catchup bonus=1500XP)

New characters now start with 5000XP

The Team deployed to Jiro City on standby as Christian Dale arrived to negotiate a merger with Tachibana. Saiba seemed confident that it wasn't going to go through, but he wanted some people on standby in case some embarrassing incident happened. That's when Dale flew by on his helicopter, landed, and offered the team ten million dollars in a charitable donation. Shortly after the refusal, John Henry appeared and attempted to kill Dale.

Disciple attempted to heal John Henry's metallic condition, but unfortunately all he succeeded in doing was transferring it to his hand. Kelsey was knocked over pretty much an entire roof and had several broken ribs. Kerri was battered around badly due to Dem's lousy internet connection depriving the team of its medic Disciple's thousand-yard stare of horror at his infected hand. However, Kerri was also able to analyze the material inside Arthur's fingers and confirmed that it uses elements from the Avalon Antivirus and has all the hallmarks of one of Kirisato's creations.

Later, while Spirit healed Kelsey and there was an...interesting scene with Kerri and Disciple explaining the situation to the mentors, Beacon and Neuron discussed the events in Triarch that lead to Shot in the Dark's departure from the team and the League's abandonment of the city, and Hachiman appeared at Raija's call to examine Daisy. When Hachiman suggested he take Daisy and leave, Bunnyman appeared, and the ensuing conversation led to, depending on your perspective, either Hachiman making Raija see the "organic privilege" dominating the team and biasing them against her, or to Hachiman manipulating her and twisting Bunny's words to make him sound racist.

Kelsey is out of action for a while, and there will be a different GMPC with the team for the next few missions, though Mockingbird will still appear at least in upcoming RPs. Celt has notified me that Monday and Thursday are iffy propositions for him next week, so we're going to do an RP tomorrow at noon-1ish EST if people happen to be on. If we do that, Monday will likely be a full mission.

Secrets at Tachibana!

Disciple: +2200XP(Level Up! +10HP and +1Feat)
Raija Girl: +2200XP(Level Up! +10HP and +1Feat)
Neuron: +2200XP(Level Up! +10HP and +1Feat)
Quarantine: +2200XP(+800XP catchup bonus =3000XP)(Level Up! +12HP and +1Feat)
Bunnyman: +200XP(Level Up! +10HP and +1Feat)

New characters now start with 5999XP

The team met and discovered that Saiba had sent Daisy to Tachibana in an effort to repair her damaged software. Tachibana's techs had created a copy of her personality and "corrected" it but not uploaded it yet, and Saiba believed it would be best for the JLH to be present to examine the code itself and be there when Daisy reawoke as her new self and became part of the team. It was a routine visit to Tachibana, and the clerks were friendly...

And then the team ran into Ms Kinsey, the Director's personal secretary, who seemed oddly disturbed about the unannounced visit. The team pushed past her over her objections and entered Daisy's storage lab to discover Elliot Vance, the former(fired!) Director of Tachibana, working on her.

He revealed that he'd been working at Tachibana the entire time, since no one else in the company could compete with his brains. Saiba and Raija had discovered him repeatedly, but he'd used his remote control to deactivate them, then wiped their memories of the event. This time, however, there were "organics" (Neuron, Igneous and Disciple) along with the androids, and Vance's solution was to reboot Raija and Saiba and sic them on the team.

The fight was brutal, with Raija nearly killing both Disciple and Kerri before Igneous subdued Vance himself and Disciple managed to decipher his remote and undo Raija and Saiba's override. At this point, the team fled Tachibana Security with Daisy, Vance and Kinsey.

Later, Vance was interrogated and provided a wealth of new information: Arbiter has united Depresser's "Union" with villains like Kirisato, Polecat, Night Owl and, disturbingly, the Shipper, despite her death. Vance also has access to an army of men and of androids, and seemed confident that outright war is coming against the League and JLH. Neuron called Sally Adams, and she confirmed that Christian Dale has been preparing his gang for something, and that Depresser has been seen in Triarch recently, preparing to come north with "some old friends." Vance also stated knowledge of the Maker, calling him a "crazed old hermit living in Alaska, with no dreams and no purpose in life." Unfortunately, Vance escaped with help from Rocket Angel, but he did confirm that Zarniwoop was a member of this villainous alliance. Perhaps he knows something?

At the end of the day, Igneous bit the bullet and contacted her old teammates to let them know war was brewing, and then together she, Raija and Neuron hatched a plan to track down the Arbiter and eliminate him from the board, reasoning that he and his hatred for the League were the only things keeping their enemies united. Of course, then The Maker called Raija for the first time...only to say he was sorry he'd stopped calling and that he'd try to resume his regular schedule.

Monday is going to be a touchy mission, since I know I'll be missing Patchy and Lec. It will most likely be just an RP, however if I get enough players, I might very well run a full mission(I have two candidates, and which one depends on how many players and who they are). Thursday will be a full mission regardless.

The Arbiter has been seen!

Disciple: +2000XP(Level Up! +10HP)
Raija Girl: +2000XP(Level Up! +10HP)
Neuron: +2000XP(Level Up! +10HP)
Kinetic Kitten: +2000XP(+2800XP catchup bonus=4800XP)(Level Up! +10HP)(Level Up! +10HP and +1 Feat)
Bunnyman: +2000XP(+2000XP catchup bonus=4000XP)(Level Up! +10HP)

American Eagle led the JLH on an attack into New Haven, following up a lead about the Arbiter's location. This led them to a small closed-down church, where they found Polecat, a strange woman who claimed to be the new Shipper, and the Arbiter himself, wearing a long black robe and mask reminiscent of Darth Revan from KOTOR.

The Shipper was revealed to be Susan Winters, Neuron's older sister, and immediately thereafter Arbiter demonstrated his knowledge of the identities of all the superheroes in the room by listing them off. A fight ensued as Polecat started lobbing bombs and toxins left and right, and Shipper took control of Igneous. Arbiter had some trouble with Jasper, but delivered a brutal beatdown onto Neuron before he escaped. Polecat fled with a little prodding from Disciple's abilities, and Susan was defeated by Bunnyman.

Interrogation revealed a wealth of information about her origin and first meeting with the Arbiter, but most notably she revealed that the Arbiter has oddly feminine traits despite his undeniably male voice. Neuron was able to connect with Arbiter's mind while he was fleeing - unfortunately, Arbiter's is a mind unlike any other that he's felt before, and the act of connecting overwhelmed him with the man's rage and arrogant brilliance.

Next mission Thursday. If possible I would like to start a little early, and I know for a fact it's going to be a long one with lots of action and combat against mooks and villains. It might even need to be split, though I'd really, really prefer not to do so.

Celt, Dem, Red, Kinich and Patchy all have one new Feat to take.

All-out war in Lexington!

Disciple: +2500XP
Neuron: +2500XP
Quarantine: +2500XP(+2000XP catchup bonus=4500XP)(Level Up! +12HP)
Bunnyman: +2500XP
Raija Girl(Carries over to Lec's new char): +2500XP

New characters now start with 7000XP, so at Level Five

The team was called together by American Eagle and the other mentors at the Hall of Heroes, to investigate a series of Tachibana trucks that had entered Lexington shortly before. However, as the JLH started to move out, Kelsey came in over comms to report Depresser and Vance were outside the Hall. Shortly thereafter, while the mentors confronted them, Rocket Angel appeared and attacked the JLH to keep them from the trucks, which opened to reveal a swarm of hundreds of robotic mooks.

The ensuing fight was brutal, with Raija, Neuron and Disciple fighting Rocket Angel while Bunnyman and Kerri chased Depresser and Vance respectively. John Henry appeared to slow Bunnyman down, but the appearance of White Power and Black Panther evened the odds. Rocket Angel succumbed to Angel and Disciple's attacks, Neuron took out Depresser with a powerful telekinetic slam that broke his back, and Kerri defeated and captured Vance - though not before, in her haste to press ALL the buttons on his remote, she sent Raija flying into the Hall of Heroes.

With the villains defeated, the mentors, Igneous, and Kelsey(who arrived in American Eagle's tank-like car) quickly mopped up, while the Junior League members hurried back to the Hall to check on Raija. Upon arrival, they found Saibarenja lying wrecked with his CPU broken in two, and both Raija and Daisy missing. Kelsey checked security feeds and confirmed that some third party had arrived during the fight, possibly killed Saiba and stole Daisy, and then freed Zarniwoop and wiped the feed during that timeframe. Raija is gone, having left the team for reasons and destinations unknown.

At the end, Spirit left to deal with a situation in Constantine City....

Next mission will be Tuesday at 5, since Patchy has confirmed that that works better for him. If anyone has a problem, speak up. Lec is making a new character(which starts with full XP) since Raija's plot has built to a natural conclusion. Any further Raija appearances will be handled by yours truly.

El Matador: 4000XP(+2500XP catchup bonus=6500XP)(Level Up! +10HP) (Level Up! +10HP and +1 Feat)

New Characters now start with 9000XP, so at Level Six

The team deployed to Constantine City after Spirit disappeared following the events of the Battle in Lexington. Neuron revealed he'd come into possession of information that Shot in the Dark was heading to Constantine looking for "Blackspire", and quickly the man himself appeared - without Spirit, claiming he was there for the same reasons as the team. After some detective work, the group journeyed to Moonshadow Tower to take advantage of Artemis' emotional scanner device and locate Spirit.

And when they got there, they saw a massive machine in which Spirit was locked, with Artemis and Zarniwoop together messing with a control panel. Artemis panicked and ranted about needing "thirty more minutes" to stabilize the machine, and a fight started almost instantly afterward. Artemis' robots didn't last long, but they lasted long enough for her to step inside and activate the machine, transferring Spirit's powers into her in a tremendous lightshow.

The ensuing battle was the hardest the JLH has ever faced. Though Artemis was smashed through walls left and right and nearly defeated, ultimately the League was forced to yield with Beacon, Shot, Disciple, Bunnyman, Igneous and Overclock all knocked out, Neuron emotionally tormented and Kerri barely on her feet. Artemis imprisoned the team in love barriers, visibly debating what to do with them-

And that's when Arbiter arrived. He quipped a thank-you to the JLH for fighting Artemis for him, and then began to advance on her. She declared she wasn't afraid anymore, and unleashed a barrage of emotional attacks...that had absolutely no visible effect on Arbiter. The man paralyzed her with a touch from one hand(with white-painted fingernails, since he forewent gloves this time) and then Zarniwoop took her away while Arbiter turned to the defeated JLH.

Kerri grabbed Disciple and fled, leaving Neuron and Overclock to watch as Arbiter produced a pistol and calmly shot Igneous in the back of the head. Neuron attempted resistance, but he was next, and only survived thanks to the interference of El Matador(SamSniped), an affiliate of the League of Heroes who'd seen the lightshow on top of Moonshadow Tower and rushed to investigate. Arbiter retreated rather than engage the newcomer, leaving two pistols behind, one inscribed with the name CASSANDRA, and the other EDWARD.

All this done, the team retreated to Spirit's house in Constantine, where she proceeded to drink herself blind while sobbing about the lack of love, and Beacon firmly declared her intention to terminate the JLH and send all the kids home.

Next mission Thursday at 5. Both remaining missions in Act 2 will be RP-heavy with POTENTIAL combat, though I would really rather have none. Following that, we'll have a break of 3-4 missions for RP and defeat of small-time crooks before Act Three begins. Speaking of Act Three, I'm in the market for any mission ideas anyone has, whether mentor-based, hometown-based, villain-based(preferably for villains who haven't appeared yet) or something else.

The Junior League has been disbanded!

Disciple: 2000XP
Quarantine: 2000XP
Overclock: 2000XP
Neuron: 2000XP
El Matador: 600XP(+2000XP catchup bonus=2600XP)(Level Up! +10HP)

The title says it all. The Juniors gathered together in Lexington for a meeting where the adults debated whether to shut down the JLH. The kids journeyed out to eat while the meeting raged, in the process meeting Dr. Kirisato, Kerri's creator, and Bruce Williams. After a long discussion in which the good doctor discussed his fear of superhumans and the reasons why, he and Kerri struck a deal for cooperation after the Arbiter's eventual defeat. Kirisato also agreed to send Bruce Williams to train the Junior League in Special Forces techniques, and THEN revealed the Maker's name: Victor Coulson, living in a small house/lab near Nome, Alaska.

After this, the Juniors returned to the Hall to find the votes cast and the Junior League disbanded. The votes were as follows:

Spoiler :
Sovereign: NAY
Spirit: NAY
American Eagle: YEA
Inertia: YEA
Saibarenja: N/A
Seraph: N/A
Beacon: YEA
Watcher: NAY
Tiebreaker(Newton): YEA

For about a minute, the mentors presented a united front, and then it completely shattered as Spirit and Sovereign both declared their refusal to respect the disillusionment of the JLH. American Eagle insinuated Spirit didn't care about Arthur's life, and Spirit's reply was a short, simple "Too far. We're done." before leaving. Beacon and Watcher didn't has as dramatic of a blowup, but there was clear tension between them due to their different opinions.

At the end, the various members of the team left, debating how to keep up the fight...

Next mission will be Monday at 5 instead of Tuesday, as since that's Memorial Day I imagine most people will be free(on this side of the Atlantic, that is :p ) Once it's one, we'll begin 3 or 4 RP missions while I assemble the final touches on Act 3 and the conclusion of the game. I am soliciting any mission ideas if anyone wants to submit anything.

The mission began as Neuron recieved a call from Sally Adams that Hachiman and Raija Girl had taken refuge with the TRP and had recently left Triarch on their way to Alaska to meet the Maker, taking Daisy with them. Neuron quickly gathered the team together, and with Spirit's tacit cooperation and Tracey's help distracting American Eagle, the JLH managed to steal the jet and fly off to Nome.

Upon arrival, they discovered Raija and Hachi had just arrived, and the entire congregation was met at the door by a redheaded woman named MacKenzie, who claimed to me the Maker's live-in assistant. She set everyone down with a tray of the best cookies ever, and then went to fetch him, allowing the team to swap stories.

When MacKenzie returned, it was with an old man in a wheelchair, who showed classic signs of dementia in the few moments he was with Raija and Hachi. After a moment's worth of conversation, he told MacKenzie to take him back to his room and she did. Upon her return, she apologized for him and revealed that she was his daughter, not simply his maid: a fact the old man himself couldn't remember.

The revelations came fast and hard after that, as MacKenzie stated that Zarniwoop, Kirisato and Vance had all studied with her father in their time, prior to the loss of his memory. When he had finally snapped, MacKenzie had been forced to give up her two daughters and return to Alaska to take care of her ailing father - her two daughters who were now known as Spirit and Artemis. And that wasn't the end, as it turned out that MacKenzie was the Maker, having decided to try and make some of her father's rambling dreams about his imaginary children come true since he couldn't recognize her.

In the end, MacKenzie repaired Daisy, and Raija recognized Hachiman's manipulation of her, causing him to leave in a huff. Daisy fell over herself apologizing for killing Saiba and the damage she did to the team in their first meeting, then swore to make up for it. She revealed that a woman in a long black cloak with a mask had breached the Hall of Heroes during the battle against Vance's army, and Saiba had seemed to recognize her. While Daisy battled him, the woman had wiped the security feeds, freed Zarniwoop, and fled.

At the end, the team returned home...only to be met by Spirit, American Eagle and Watcher, with the revelation that the Arbiter had been seen in Neuron's neighborhood - and a bomb had gone off in his home, killing Beacon.

This is the end of the Second Act. There may or may not be an RP tonight: I have a friend who might be coming over, and if I get on a roll with writing that's a higher priority. I've got an outline for Act 3 now, every mission in it, and though I'll finick with it a little I think it's solid. If I don't make any substantial changes, this RP break might honestly be rather short. I also might skip out on Monday's mission but next Thursday will run for sure.

It's looking like either tomorrow night will work perfectly for an RP or be 100% unworkable. I'm still not sure which, but I can run an RP tonight if people would like to be sure we get SOMETHING in before Thursday. I'll pop into chat around the usual time and see if anyone's there.

Any missions run this week will be RPs. Starting next week, we hook back into the actual plot.

Confirming that the next mission will be tomorrow at 5PM EST, and it will be a full mission. Likely a bit RP-heavy as we transition into the third act, but there's a very good chance of combat at some point in the process.

Also, apologies about Thursday: something came up and I completely forgot to pop into chat and let you know until it was way too late in the night.
