Spanish Conquistadors

Today I realized that I have yet to use the spanish UU in a game. I have played as Isabella before but won before researching Guilds. Anyways...I was watched the battle animations when my conquistadors were fighting, and it looked like they were slapping the enemy?? I don't run my game on the highest quality (its on medium settings), and I was just wondering if that is supposed to happen?

I just played my first game with Izzy the other day, and this was cracking me up!!!

Conquistadors are utterly lethal, with appropriate promotions they can sit happily inside enemy lands during the medieval period, pretty resistant to even war elephants and pikes.

The Conquistadors' weapon animation seems to be broken. I can't believe Firaxis has yet to fix this.
