Community Call to Power Project

Thank you very much for the nice words, and the cheers:beer::banana:

This mod has a very long road behind it, many supporters and much more folk helped to bring CCTP to this point.

The current testing version, is just a little aspect from what is comming with the next update.

But we need to get out all this nasty bugs, so a testing period was needed,

With the upcomming update you will get a huge overwork of text entries, this includes misleading text and pedia entries.

A complete rework of the yield system, yields are now related to neighbour terrains for example.
Tiles on the coast will have more value then inland tiles, the same for rivers.

Improvements will get additional yields if they have the same improvement adjacent.

Some new technologies, Wonders, Buildings and much new Beliefs.
We will remove all vanilla Beliefs in the future , but for now they are still in game.

The Cultural Capital Mod, made by the famous Moaf is included in the next update.

New Specialist, the Doctor_provides Health, the Guide_provides Tourism, the Intellectual_provides Golden Age Points and the Labor_provides Manpower.

Technology Flavors are overworked and should help the ai in many parts.

A lot of missing Icons are replaced and new Splashes are added to some Wonders.

The Handicap is also updated, i hope this makes the ai much more compative then before.

There are a lot more of little changes, like f.e that Tourism and Goilden Age are now real yields, thanks to whowards dll:goodjob:.

We use this feature now in almost every part of CCTP.

We have workable Mountains, that get additional yields via technologies and so on.

The list is just to long to write it all down.

I would like to offer unto this project my resolute and unwavering assistance, even in the face of irreversible mutilation and unspeakable tortures, which will no doubt befall me in even the best of outcomes.

I have some algorithm design proficiency, good at reading code for bugfixes or new code surveying, and I'm meticulous.

Full disclosure, I'm going to modify it for my personal entertainment to have less of the extreme changes and just take the tech tree mods. I will of course not distribute this mod-mod, but, if I were to make a "just the techs, please!" extract of this mod available, with credit for all the work to... whom? May I?

Question: Precisely -which- of whoward's modular DLL mods are needed to make this run? All of them?

Hey, you can use any part of my code, as long you dont make profit with it:lol:

More serious, i can only speak for the part i have done, and this projects is tributed by many other people.
I guess the current techtree is ca 2/3 my work, but iam not sure and i can be wrong.

The current avaible techtree isnt complete and without all the features, wonders, buildings and units in CCTP almost empty.
So i wouldnt recommand a only techtree mod at all, it will be very boring to use, but that just my opinion.
Also you would need, to add the new eras and other stuff, this could end in a lite version of CCTP, and i dont think i would like this, but i could live with this.

Whowards DLL 63 mod and the following ones are needed, because we use a lot of new DLL_Tables, that are not part of the vanilla game.

With the upcoming update, CCTP will have more then 500 technologies and many more adjustments to the techtree, so many features are related to the techtree, that i cant count them all.

Bad news for all Mac users[pissed]

We started with the current version of CCTP, to inlcude a lot of tables that requires the DLL.

Unfortunately Macs doesnt support Dll mods, this means any Mac user will miss a lot of features.
This will end in a unbalanced and not intended version of CCTP.
With the next update of CCTP, this will be even more worse for Mac users.

To make it short, many parts of CCTP, will now require the Dll, and this can/will break a playable version for Mac users.

Due the huge amount of time, that would be needed to make work arrounds or to release multiple versions of CCTP, i have to say sorry, i cant recommand CCTP for Mac users anymore.

If someone is willing to help/ support a Mac version, i will provide as many help as i can.

I meant the techs plus the directly associated modifications to the tech unlocks. I plan to fiddle with the wholly new techs which were slotted into the tree (like, Telephone).
But anyway, I emphasize again, I very much want this project to succeed. I believe it has potential and lasting power.

EDIT: And I still don't understand which of whoward's mods I need.

Couldn't the most recent Mac-compatible update be kept around? It wouldn't be the best, but it's something.

edit: ohhhhh you mean Pick 'N Mix version 63.

The latest version that doesnt used DLL tables was 404 rebuild.
Since that time, i included more and more features that requires the DLL.
In the next update we will use that much tables, that any Mac user cant play without big negativ impacts CCTP

Without the DLL (whowards DLL 63, what is required for CCTP) many policies/techs/buildings and so on will not work as intended.

Also the need of whowards mods is related to what you would try to do.
For a full list of included mods look under CCTP/DLL_Support.

Just a side note, you cant just simple clon the tech tree, there are so many hidden relations in CCTP, that a huge amount of time and work will be needed to separate them.
