Futurism strat tips plz :)

IMO waiting to do GWAM can make sense. If I value tourism and culture equally, a great work produces 4, meaning it's about 60 turns to break-even (i.e. if you are within 60 turns of futiurism, you're probably better off just waiting). Now of course there's the argument of getting renaissance works for theming, or that you produce more GWAM overall if you start early, but there are also other priorities--especially if you're going autocracy. A couple cannon may produce more great works than an artists' guild will. And working flood plains now may fill more specialists in the end than filling artist slots early (and you time it better, after futurism and the specialist rationalism thing).

OTOH you might be able to theme a couple writings early (and you might be France). But anyway if you put off GWAM it will hurt you on that front, but futurism makes it hurt less, and you have other matters contending for your attention. Patticularly, filling that university and workshop first (especially if you think arts funding is going to pass later).
