Master of Mana

The full traits category is broken, non of the traits description work. I have reinstalled civ4 etc, but nothing helped, you see, the first dialog, when you start the game, displays your traits and you cannot even look it up, what it means. I wonder if the sevopedia is broken, how do I know whether the whole game is broken or not? Really not too inspireing. I mean sevopedia entries here or there missing is OK, but full categories? Cant you just disable it then? This way it is quite difficult to decide wetther the whole game is broken or just the sevopedia. Any suggestions? Thanks.

You can see the traits just like you do in vanilla BTS (which has no trait section either) just mouseover the leader in the leader section. It will be fixed eventually but it's very far down the priority list

haha, that bug with traits in sevopedia was caused by 2 lines of code missing. Fixed next patch

BTW, sevopedia integration into Wildmana/FFH/MoM was done back in the day by denev :goodjob: great modder. too bad he isn't around anymore :/

we are currently playing the pre-patch... alpha. Register to our forums to try it.

Already there, and more than a year. It's an excellent mod. I offered to edit and rewrite in any style what anybody had added to the Sevopedia, or help in creating text for it, but there's only been one taker, so far.

Soro,

any blank entries in the pedia you are more then welcome to submit your work too.. or improvements of old entries (which i will review and may or maynot replace depending on the situation)

submit your work here if you get that ole writers urge:

Cool. I will do that. Thanks.

Sry, didn't really focus on your name...

Hardly a big deal. As long as you continue patching the best Civ mod out there.

Stumbled across this mod here and it looks incredible. This mod pushes the game into directions I did not think was possible with Civilization IV. I look forward to playing through the various different cultures/races and seeing how it plays out.

mayhap you will have as much fun as us :D

Oh I am having a blast! I have been playing Civ IV for years, starting to play mods with The Thomas' War, then moved to History Rewritten, and along the way making four of my own mods. This guy here has worked, literally, magic with the core game.

So much added stuff. I am tending to play the lizard guys as they look extremely fun. I am going to test it on my small network tonight with a few friends -- wonder how it will play on MP?

lol...
sorry, never played in MP... I can't help you.

go to the masterofmana.com forums... you may find the help you want there

So not to point out the obvious, but I just downloaded this and 75% seems to just be the Fall from Heaven Mod but with a few tweaks.

I assume that was just to get the basics started. Is this still in development to eventually make it its own?

.. change "few" by "all mechanics".
you may say that it is the muscles of cIV BTS, the skin of FFH... and an entirely new skeleton.

well.. I imagine that my image is not so speaking.. or maybe even disturbing...
-spell changed...in mechanics and in effects (need to earn mana, need to research specific spell techs with a new yield..., spells splitten along "free" auras, "cheap" unit-level spells and "costly" civ-level spells)
-city changed... in new buildings...and in mechanics (specialisation, districts, buildings upkeep...etc)
-units changed in mechanics (limited numbers...Etc)
-xp and promotions changed : new ways to gain xp, new promotions paths and unit-specialisations.
-new yields (wood, metal, leather) to equip your units and boost their combat strength. or stone to rush-build improvements instead of gold.
-new improvement mechanics: limited numbers of improvements / synergy between some improvements / some improvements mainly give the new yields even when not worked on..

-new civs
-ancient civs have different mechanics
...Etc

so the outside aspects : graphics, lore, tech names, are roughly the same as FFH. as for the rest.. nothing is quite the same.

EDIT: are you sure that you tried MoM (master of mana ; at least version 1.42) and not WM (WildMana) ?

Hmm, no now that you mention it I am not entirely sure. Since I don't recall seeing many of the features you mentioned. I downloaded multiple mods and was trying them all out. I will re-download and try again. My bad on the misdirected comment if so.

While Sephi is on leave, I developed a modmod for Master of Mana. Its main focus it to polish the unfinished features of MoMana alpha v5, starting with the Guild system.

Master of Mana, specially with these new innovations and strategic ways, is the most quantitative AND qualitative mod of Civ IV. The best mod of all mods in my opinion, with the superb Sword of Islam (a modmod for Rhyes and Fall mod).

Every Civ player should test it and take time to discover the complexity of Master of Mana.

I dream that one day we could play often in multiplayer but competitive player seems to just play and play to the death to vanilla BtS (my Skype for who whould like to play FFH2 in multi : "Joffreygaultier". :p

But if you are intersted to play multi, to play a war Elves vs Vampires, Dwarfs vs Orcs, GIANTS vs Undeads nations (each with uniques units, buldings, mechanics, etc.) just download and play it ! :borg: ;)
