Had myself a scout upgraded into an archer which got the promotion from national wonder.

This means: ignore terrain penalty AND double speed on hills.

This means that if there are hills, the archer can move up to 4 hexes in 1 turn :king:
 
I've done this too, but it was a Shoshone Pathfinder turned Composite Bowman. It was freaking sweet! Like an all-terrain chariot archer.
 
Such a funny promotion.

I wanna play a highlands map with the Zulu get the plus 1 movement on impi and get the wonder near my capital so it's just awesome
 
If your scout got Scouting III, they'd get five or six hexes of movement on hills!

Seriously if you can get a fully-promoted Scout into an Archer it's the best unit you will have period. Mad defense that makes Bowmen look fragile, ever-useful Medic, buckets of sight and three terrain-ignoring movement. Throw Fountain of Youth and Kilimanjaro in the mix and auuuughwtf
