How do i do it? Rather, are there ratios that should be kept between values in order to make it not crash? I tried increasing some numbers under the epic heading towards the marathon speed but the game crashes when i end my turn.

I wasnt aware of any limitations there.
What exactly did you change ?

In each of the tags i looked at the default epic setting and the marathon one and i changed the epic on to be about halfway to the marathon one (i think). When i started a new game, it had the month in the corner with the date, and upon ending turn, it died.

If I recall correctly the month amount must be a multiple of 12 when the turn is longer than 1 year. If turn is less than year, there's no limitations.

That seems to be correct, also the top tag / 12 * the bottom tag in each chunk must add together to 6050 in order to make it work(i think, didn't try it without but it makes sense). I have changed it up a little and its running fine so far.
