So I won my first post patch game on King level with an odd space victory.
Darius was leader all game, at the end he was culture and science leader. Now he builds a few spaceship parts and has around 2500 beakers compared to my 1200. By year 1980 I was going to give up. I chose Freedom ideology, everyone else on Order, and me constantly denounced by all the AI's. Yet I managed to win science victory.
I wonder whether Darius run out of strategic resources? He had 12 cities to my 7. Why did he not win? how did he get 2500+ beakers, I am lucky if I get 1500.

One other thing I notice on YouTube, the habit of focusing cities on production and
micromanaging the tiles. I wonder whether this is right, since it seems better to focus cities on gold, science, production - that is whatever the city is best at, some sort of specialization; and let the AI manage the specialists. in the game above coastal city
Carthage had more gold so I focused it on gold and not production. Not sure what method you guys use.

I always micromanage both my workers and my citizens, yet I only play on Prince. I'm always surprised that people say they can play on up to Emperor or even Immortal without micromanaging.
