Question's on starting techs

Since the Greeks start with Democracy - do the get the free pikeman/hoplite because they were the first to discover it?

Also

Since the English start with Monarchy , is the Pyramids automatically a dead wonder for everyone -- or just the english?

I believe you do not get free hoplite/pikemen

And the Pyramids is obsolete too I believe

the greeks do not get the free unit but they can build them np

as far as im aware im sure the pyramids still work when playing the english, they are absolete after some1 actually researches monarchy and gets the great person, much in the same way the english dont start with a great person just for having monarchy
