Immediate crash after launcher closes and game starts

So for little to no reason, Civ5 has decided to start crashing on me. I start the launcher, select DirectX9, and the launcher closes and the black window before the opening video pops up. Two seconds on the black screen passes and the game crashes to desktop, with no error messages or windows and nothing appearing. I also can't find a log, but that's probably because I have no idea where I'm supposed to look.

Help? I can provide system specs if necessary.

Something similar is happening to me. I don't even get to a black window. All I see is the blue syncing and that's it. Nothing else happens.

As you can see I've logged 777 hopurs, I had not played in a few months, so it's weird that it doesn't work since the new update.

For some mysterious reason, the issue for me was resolved, though somebody still has it. Can anybody explain why this occurs?

this happens also at my computer. When i played G&K it was OK, but when i updated to BNW it always crash after launch... Anybody can help?
