Achievement Problems

For some reason I have not logged any achievements since Oct. I'm also having severe problems having mods download and having them disappear sometimes. What could be causing this? Virus? Settings? Please help. Huge fan of the game, but not as computer savy as most in this forum........obviously!

What's causing this is certainly not a virus, it's your use of mods. Using mods disables achievements. As for the mods, I'm guessing that it's Steam. In future, it's probably not a virus, as long as you have a decent AV like Avast! or Microsoft Security Essentials.

Mods disappearing if you get knocked offline from steam seems to be a common problem. I recommend backing up the mod in a folder steam doesn't use. (So when it does; you can just disk copy it back instead of downloading again)

As to achievements, when playing mods progress towards them is disabled.
