O.K. Slowly, but surely I'm beginning to absorb some of the wisdom shared by so many. I'm just a little confused about the GP farm(farms ... if one is good then 4 would be better?).

As a newbie, I tried to set up multiple farms ... one for Scientist, Artist etc. Is this a viable strategy? This didn't seem to work for me.

Should I have one farm instead, and change specialists, so that I can generate the GP I want? I know that the GP generated has to do with what specialist's I'm running, but can I switch out before they get cashed in?

Thanks again for the help.

Running multiple farms for the different types generally doesn't work very well, since once a GP is generated, the cost of the next GP is increased in every city. It's a case of sharply diminishing returns the more GP farms you have. I'd rarely have more than 2, and a few stray GP picked up from other cities.

It's not really necessary though - just switch specialist type to whichever GP you want. (Engineers are a bit tricky as you can't run many engineer specialists).
