Split country by take capital same country arrive twice

Hi,

Maybe something not new and it has happened to me before but pretty rarely.
I played Earth map and chosen England, always different play in regards how fast I can settle any place... sometimes end up take Australia but this time I got a foot in North America and the Aztecs was slow to colonize so I manage to wipe them out.
Before that I took Technoliltan and divided the Aztecs into their part and the French part! (Russians had already killed out any blue (Germany/French) civs earlier). Same game turn the Zulu capture Moscow and split Russia into... Russia and.... FRANCE!!!
???? how possible? I saw France (from Aztec) in South America lost all their units... probably due to another France got created in Asia (Russia divided).

Something DarkPanda probably knows (or could know by checking code) but my guess is that it is a flag that France is free to come back in game if a capital is taken and it happened when I split Aztec, I guess this flag isn't changed same year but when a new year appear and when Zulu at SAME year split Russia... the flag was still open and France came twice..

You're most probably right: from memory, CIV looks for the first Civ slot whose bit flag is 0 to select the splitting Civ, but I am not sure about when the flag is set back to 1, I'll have a look.
