Hello fellow fanatics!
The problem is: I want hard to play India on immortal level as they seem to be amazing late game, but it is hard to manage them early. Late game they have potential +68% order tourism or tons of specialists freedom or dominate-with-no-unhappiness order/autocracy.
However obviously population growth is a huge problem for a good start. Maybe they should rush big circus or take mercantile city-state and keep them constantly allied?
I would be glad to hear your suggestions!
Sorry for my poor english.

A civ with a pretty good early game is a lot better than a civ with an amazing late game. The trouble that you are running into with India is that they can't snowball into the later stages of the game like any other civ.

I don't really see how india is amazing late game based on your description. the benefits you mentioned in OP is the same for every civ; India just has easier issues with pop growth.

playing early game domination with india is very, very difficult. i'd suggest getting tradition, and prioritizing luxury techs to get your happiness. Also watch out for Fountain of Youth and Old Faithful. you can almost play it the same as any other civ, but happiness is definitely going to need some care.

A strong religion with happiness bonuses can really help fight the early happiness issues India faces.
