C3C over Gold - while installing "insufficient disk space" message appears -- BS

While installing C3C over Gold Edition "insufficient disk space" message appears. On system disk C: there are more then 2GB free space availible as well as on partition where the Civ3 is installed there are more then 1.5GB of free space. Norton AV is freaquently updated - so i don't think that it is a virus case...
System - Win2k is working perfectly.
Any ideas?

I've had the same problem...haven't had any responses on multiple boards yet, or from Atari Support. I'll update you if I get a response...
