Star of the Shogun: Realpolitik

Welcome back to Realpolitik Fargle! :goodjob:

On an OCC note, could we possibly extend the elections until February? I'l probably be able to vote, but some people might not.

How about we see the update before we ask about extensions :crazyeye:

Particularly since it is only the mid-term update, so there won't be any elections to extend. :p

Overview/City Screens:

-Arabia and the Iroqouis both offered Declarations of Friendship which we turned down.
-The Iroqoius asked for Open Borders, and we turned them down.
-Our warrior scout was destroyed by barbarians
-We switched out Honor for Liberty and acquired Collective Rule
-We have one Settler awaiting orders on the coast
-We rescued an Iroqouis worker from barbs and took it for ourselves
-Barbarians ransacked the quarries near Kyoto before being destroyed

That's all I can think of.

Well this seems to be going along at a brisk rate at the moment. I wonder what everyone else is planning...

Well this seems to be going along at a brisk rate at the moment. I wonder what everyone else is planning...

Lets see, My plans: A bank Robbery in Metropolis; Arm my Plane in Saviours, Save the Dream in IoD, Level 4 in Skyrim, Find a Car in Uncharted, Start the Game in AC, visit the family in RL. Oh you meant RP? Wait for the government to get a new plan up. :p

Am i alive again now?

List of items that can be produced is missing (can we build a wonder?) but as I'm sure that the other members of the cabinet, our top priority now shall be rearmament to be able to protect ourselves and our settler, that in my opinion should settle besides ElDorado.

EDIT: I just saw we have an archer. I propose that it escorts the settler to the location in which he is to settle and that another unit is produced.

hmm, that went a lot faster than I expected it to go.

No matter. The coalition will discuss how to proceed and produce an extended plan for the second half of the term shortly. Also I intend to actually promulgate some laws this midterm, the ones I have proposed so far obviously are deficient and balancing laws to restrict individuals power are needed. To that end also the opposition, or interested individuals are free to PM me suggestions for such laws, which I will consider.

I say that because unfortunately the opposition did not respond at all to a similar offer at the beginning of the term, although to be fair an associated independent was kind enough to inform me of your intentions regarding the plan despite your silence, which was most helpful, although even he did not comment on my offer in regards to law.

The Federal Party of Japan:

Ideology: In order to have a strong japan we need a federal gonverment, a new economical system and a strong forgein policy.

Gonverment:

The federal gonverment gives power to the people and the local cities instead of having a few persons to rule the entire japan.

So here is what we propose about the gonverment:

Branches of Government:
President (Only 1 President)
Senators (2 Senators per City (State)
Representatives (population number= # of Representatives)
Governors (1 Governor per City)

Congress: Has the power to pass legislation (includes what improvements to build, what techs to research (both 3/5s)
Declaring War= 2/3 Majority
All other legislation= 3/5 Majority (ie Raising Taxes)
Overriding Vetos= 2/3 Majority

Governors: Chooses Production for City, can be overridden, if 2/3s of Reps for City Disagree, or if 2/3 of Congress Disagree
Requesting: Can ask for Infrastructure Improvement (Sending a Worker), Military Protection (Moving of 1-2 Defensive Units)--- Congress can approve 3/5

President:
Can Veto Congress 2/3
Presidential Order= Moving units, changing city production

Economic policy:

Our policy about economy is:

1) Have the workers to work in state owned Farms.

2) In the cities have free market.

Domestic policy:

Our Domestic policy isto mainly built cultural buildings and train (ooc: built) armies.

Forgein policy:

Our Forgein policy is:

1) Have good relations and trade with all nations.

2) Dont join wars and refuse defense pacts. We dont want any war, except if other invade us.

Techs:

Our gonverment will focus on reaserch in order to built a strong and advance army and make the citizens life better.

Army policy:

About the army:

1) Its duty will be to protect the japanese nation and also work as police and tax collectors.

2) We will train many armies.

3) We will try to make our army the most advanced.

Why you should vote us:

1) Because we are the only one with a real plan about what we will do in the gonverment.

2) We are more realisic than all the other parties.

christos, before you address our fellow citizens and people, I suggest you that you correct all your misspellings

EDIT: I'm afraid that your manifesto and address lacks precision in some words which you didn't pronounce correctly.

It seems that other than that you cannot criticize anything and you accept that we are right and you wrong!

ooc: YOU CANT USE SPELLING IC!!!!!! DO YOU UNDERSTAND? IT IS ANNOYING AND TROLLING!!!!!! FOR GOD SHAKES. I WILL REPORT YOU FOR TROLLING!!!

I suggested that because repeated mistakes in your speeches, addresses, diagrams and explanations in the end can end annoying someone. And so I was annoyed because you always pronounce GOVERNMENT and FOREIGN the wrong way.

I never said I agree or disagree with your proposition, nor if I had something else against your system, but I've heard that some strange people who call themselves American use a system very similar to that one. And as the Japanese culture is far superior to the American, that system shouldn't be implemented, for the Japanese people deserve a system of their own, better than corrupt democracy.

Who are those americans????

I don't know, I've heard old Japanese wanderers and wise men talk about them and the way they organise themselves.

I dont beleive those tales.

Also a federal gonverment will make japan stronger and far more democratic than your system.

The federal system let the people to decide what they want and has a Congress that secures that no president will put laws against democracy or laws that the people dissagree.

I personally believe that he himself based it off of the 'American' system himself.
be more careful christos.
