Whenever I try to start a singleplayer game, the only leaders I can choose are random leader and morocco, I also can't see their unique units or buildings, as they are replaced with the Pyramids icon. I can still play multiplayer, but instead of the leader picture, it's red and grey checkerboard. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Sounds like some file corruption (but obviously not enough to trigger an instant CTD). Have you tried revalidating your game files through Steam?
I've tried validating, reinstalling, and deleting all my mods, still no prevail.
