The Motherland Calls

Nope, I don't think The Motherland Calls' effect was ever revealed. It's sad it was culled.

There is an entire thread about stuff that Firaxis should be sued for: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=422219

The Louvre pyramid is just one of many images that should be enough for Firaxis to be sued successfully.

Sorry but that thread where people frantically search for stock images to show that the associated artists have used photo references is just bs. They should really link that to conceptart.org or cghub and have people who are commercial artists comment on this. Not even tracing is against the law. The so-called "copies" are all different enough, not to mention that things like the great wall or the statue of David REQUIRE heavy referencing for accuracy.

By the way, did we ever find out what the wonder specifically did?

Given the Kremlin's new ability and a wonder replacing the Kremlin's old ability, it almost certainly had the Kremlin's new ability.

This all sounds like a nice modding challenge.

We already have the background image. Does anyone know if we can find the 3d art for the statue?

My point is that since Firaxis had already broken many copyright laws (and got away with them), they should add the Motherland Calls, as it is better to represent Order than the Kremlin.

Well, the fact that they were going to have the statue, and then scrapped it, kind of implies someone actually came and told them to stop its inclusion.

The same presumably cannot be said for the owners of the stock images. It's probably not worth their bother to sue. Not everyone is litigious, especially about Google image search pictures that are plagiarised daily.
