Yep, G&K runs great with no mods. Only issue I ever have is my laptop and graphics are not great. Will overheat graphics sometimes with bigger settings.

Hello,
I am triying to play your mod, Vers. 6.3, like the features and changes, but when i try to build a lumbermill on the resource timber it will not work.
Now i built a new map very small to test, added the techs, built a city and placed first timber and second elefants. Tried to build lumbermill and hunting lodge but it is not possible. Lumbermill without timber is working. Playing without any mods just yours. Game Version is the latest. Game is freshly installed. Had no crashes. Activated debugging, tuner enabled and logging enabled.
Any Ideas? Thanks for your reply.
 
Hulfgar, I am running into a problem that has only surfaced today.

I don't have the latest version of your Mod- I have the previous one which always worked fine. However, I have tried to commence some new games and each time my computer just locks as in some conflict. No other mods, I use Continents plus, large, king, disable start bias and raging barbarians.

Vanilla will run okay. However your mod refuses to play ball with me. This only started today- I don't expect any magic fix, just letting you know.

I will look at it again tomorrow.

Try to use 6.3 (with the fix for the celts), this version should be more stable than the previous, even if some users have problems.

One problem with mods (I think), is that between the optional DLCs, the free DLCs and perhaps the different hardware type there is almost 1 config per user!
But there's no reason why we could not fix the bugs.

Last : I am out of the net at home until next week. I can check Civfanatics from my work place but I will have to wait until next week for fixes.

Hulfgar, sorry but I didn't make a log- the game just went into and endless conflict and I couldn't reach that stage. I have since downloaded the latest version and no problems.

I was thinking about it, and was wondering if it may have been the Celtic problem. I allow the computer to assign the AI, and I may have just run into a string of games where they were assigning the Celts. Is that a possible answer.

Anyway, that aside there is a minor glitch in the latest version. Playing as Korea/ large/ continents plus. I have researched dynamite and am heading towards artillery. However, even though I haven't discovered artillery I can upgrade cannons and build artillery after dynamite.

Thank you for your mod, it's great stuff.

I think the game leaves a lot of room for improvement is with the general. One feature that I'd love to see is the ability to merge/link generals with a unit. Moving them seperately is pretty tiresome, especially when a lot of conflict is going on and we have generals spawning quite often. It's such a chore, I usually use 3 for my assault force and park the rest in cities for boosting defense or not use them at all... I used to just burn them all but the few I'm using for golden ages when that was an option.

I'm not sure if it's possible to have the general "stick" to the unit so when you move one the other is always there "in the background". I suspect this isn't possible.

Another option that I think would be much more possible would be to use the general to "upgrade" the parent unit, giving a new promotion to the unit it was parked with. A promotion that mimicks the generals abilities anyway. You could even give each civilization slightly different gereral abilities, or allow the player to choose when upgrading.

I don't really even care so much if you can get the general back but if that was possible it may remove any negative aspects of the change. Maybe a "reclaim" option to get him back, removing the promotion?

Hey, i downloaded the mod but everytime i try going to advanced setup when starting a new game, there's en error about "buttoncontrol" and the game crashes... what do i need to do to fix it?

thanks for the logs, there seems to be a conflict in some text tags. I will look into this, just be patient because I finished moving yesterday. And finished means only that all boxes are in the new home, everything must be unpacked, including my PC with Civ 5 :( !

Hello Tekinette,

thanks for the logs, there seems to be a conflict in some text tags. I will look into this, just be patient because I finished moving yesterday. And finished means only that all boxes are in the new home, everything must be unpacked, including my PC with Civ 5 :( !

Well, congrats on the new home, hope it's nice ! Once you're done modding it you can mod the game again ;)
