Loading save without DLC

So, I seriously need to load a save, the problem is, it was made by someone who owns the Scrambled Nations/Continents DLCs. I don't own them, and as such, can't load it. Considering it doesn't even involve the DLC, is there anything I can do to load it without needing to buy these useless DLCs?

He would have had to turn off that DLC before it started that game.

...and why are you avoiding the scrambled nations dlc?! It's widely considered the best expansion in civ gaming history.
