i don't know why i even bother, nobody really finds what i post to be useful....

.nfo files look fine in notepad to me...? What's it supposed to do that notepad doesn't do?

Well I've always had trouble with NFO files in notepad. I don't know why.

You know, the purpose of this thread is not to post a program and have a discussion of how great it is, but rather to put that information out there so other people here that could benefit from it do so. So if you want to suggest a program aimee, fine. But don't expect everyone to jump around all excited because you've posted yet another file. Those that need it or could find use from it will appreciate it. The rest will just move on.

This thread probably needs to be redone....anyone care to pick through it and extract the names and links?

I was really close to doing that (making an updated OP and pm'ing it to TF) but I got lazy. I got some time on my hands, I might get around to it. If someone wants to sift through the 2nd half of the thread and send me just the links, that would save time.

Or we could each take ten pages or so, split it up, I dunno.

Anyway, someone might find this program useful:

WinMerge

Spoiler :

WinMerge is an Open Source differencing and merging tool for Windows. WinMerge can compare both folders and files, presenting differences in a visual text format that is easy to understand and handle.
WinMerge is highly useful for determining what has changed between project versions, and then merging changes between versions. WinMerge can be used as an external differencing/merging tool or as a standalone application.

In addition, WinMerge has many helpful supporting features that make comparing, synchronising, and merging as easy and useful as possible:

Ive got nothing better to do so Ill take care of it. Expect to see a thread soon.

Can I suggest some categories or rather not?

Im using TF's post as a template. If I need any more categories Ill figure it out, but his post covered the breath of it pretty well.

I would recommend locking this thread since we have the new thread and if people post programs here it makes more work
