Saving a faction that is being conquered?

Hi!

There are two outcomes to a faction being conquered (total conquest):
A) Capture and interrogation
B) Escape with a colony pod

Is there a way I can get the B to happen?
I don't have access to either of the factions and have commlink only to the conqueror.
Conquest happens during commlink disruption.

This is for a single player game, so reloading is not a problem.

long time no see! Hope you are well.

IIRC option B is a setup feature under the "Customize Game Rules" menu called "Do or Die: Don't restart eliminated players". If this option wasn't checked at the beginning of the game, then the conquered player has the ability to re-spawn with a new CP. Also, IIRC this can only occur for the first hundred turns of a game.

Yea, it's amazing to return and see some people whom I recognize and some whom I seem to recognize.
I also found t_ras and Lazerus on alphacentauri.info.

This game seems to stay for long in people's minds.

Are you still playing and CMNing?

Its still the best sci-fi planetary TBS, IMO.

My kids are older now, so I am not confined to the house so much anymore. That and a much more demanding job puts a damper on things. I still get into SMACX (and Deadlock), but its more a winter thing to keep me from going stir-crazy during the long winter months.
