Issues with multiplayer.

A friend and I have been trying to play multiplayer (TCP/IP) quite a while. We have tried Gameranger and Hamachi, but we get the same issue every time; the person trying to connect gets kicked back to the main menu without an error message.

Do we have to specifically use that version? My friend refuses to download it until he knows.

Are you referring to the version of Hamachi in the link? Sorry, no idea. I don't play multiplayer, so I'm not familiar with the technical details. I suggest that you post your question in the multiplayer forum at alphacentauri2.info. That's the most active SMACX multiplayer site and perhaps someone there can help you.
