Where should I put this city?

I cannot get all of the goodies, so where should I put it? On top of the cow where the settler is? One of the suggested spots?

I play as Siam. I missed God of the Seas.

I'm a firm believer in hills for the production bonus myself, so I would suggest the hill to the south.

Right where you are, that is the only place you will be able to get to all 3 fish, the silk, the deer and cows. You lose the early hammer from not setting on the hill but unless you need that city to be a production powerhouse (which it won't be anyway) that isn't a problem, just get a lighthouse and get to those 3 fish tiles.

Thats not the only place, the silk gets same , but you get the other fish to the north, with the only difference, that you are going to get some gold from the start on, you get the lux immediately (so you can sell it) and you don't have to work +1F tile if you want the gold. So its clearly superior.

That city is gonna be bad regardless - there are way too few workable tiles.

The silk and current spot are nearly identical as you lose the fish west if you move to the silk but gain the fish north. You also lose 1 potential grassland tile south and gain 1 grassland over on the east peninsula and then get a lux and gold immediately. so terrain-wise they look the same but I agree with dragonxxx that having the lux immediatley makes the silk tile choice better. That could be potentially 9 extra gpt immediately or 4 extra happiness if you keep it and 2 gpt.

As far as long-term potential. I disagree with dragonxxx that it is "bad" though. It is in some ways but will be very useful in other. For instance, production will be abysmal, but growth will be very good, and after you use up workeable tiles then it will become a good specialist city with decent science and GP generation. with all that grassland and fish I see it probably reaching 20-pop easy and working all possible specialists before food runs out. Certainly a good investment from a science standpoint. It has the potential to boost your base science quite a bit.

Just buy lighthouse early. Lighthouses +2 food +1 production buff to fish is insane for situations like this as you'll grow super fast. You'll need to buy a lot of tiles to get things in range for this city, however. Production will suck bad though (if that's what you meant dragonxxx). You have 1 hill and deer so even after improvement that's only 6 hammers including city base. Even all 3 fish only bring the base up to 9 so you'll be buying a lot for this city and seaports come too late...but it'll grow really well. Plus, with all 4 cities on the coast the food-ship potential is great. You can alternate off growing all your cities to huge size and probably be working specialists a bit earlier than usual.

On the silk. Immediate luxury resource + a deer immediately are good for growth and snowballs better than settling on this cattle (which you effectively would waste the +3 food from it). You need the happiness immediately.

It doesn't get all three fish. It misses the North one.

Whoops - 3 fish. I thought you meant all four. Yes, it does get 3.

You don't seem to have silk in your empire and didn't send a worker yet. I'd settle on it. Also since you have only one hill there I would avoid settling on it preferring to work it as a 3 hammer mine rather than getting 1 free hammer.
Also hill misses 1 fish compared to silk and finally silk will give you the opportunity to work deer right away. After that buy the hill, rush buy a granary and work the hill with 2nd pop. You'll have a 4 hammer city as a result which enough potential early growth with the cows and fishs (get fast lighthouse)
