Was tempted on Samurai, but much of what makes the samurai so great is the japanese UA. Legion because it's available so early and on any warmongers direct tech path. B17 isn't bad, but it's just too late in the game.

The Sipahi is useful for pillaging rare strats like oil, aluminum, etc. But usually, my enemy is either big and strong and has lots of oil in backup or is a small enemy who is easy to beat without having to pillage his resources.

I prefer early UUs. And the Janissary belongs to the Ottomans. Even a great UU is pointless to me if I don't play the civ!
