Need Advice on New Computer

I'll be buying a new computer in the next month or so, and will be looking to get one that can run Civ 5 with huge maps as smoothly as possible. I need advice on which processors and video cards would be best to buy. Also, how much RAM should I be looking to get?

Have to admit that i was thinking of a desktop myself

I am pretty sure civ v doesnt use all your cores, so lots of cores is wasted- and i think its 32 bit as well so lots of ram wont help

I would focus on a high speed processor and good card, based on what you can afford

I suspect that as a 32 bit application there is ALWAYS going to be issues on huge maps late game no matter what rig you have... i may be wrong of course.
