Crashing Mid-Game

Hello all,

Technical problem I was hoping someone could help with.: I'm running Civ V (with Brave New World and all DLC) through Steam using the Windows 8 option and I'm getting the "Civilization V has stopped working" crash message midway through games. It's happened in two so far, one in the 1600AD range and one around 1800BC, once with the Danish and once with the Austrians. The only common thread I can tell is crashes while the Poland diplomacy screen was loading. I know it's not a ton to go on, but does anyone have any guesses?

It's an unfixed CiV bug. The game will crash occasionally, seemingly entirely random. I haven't noticed anything special going on right before any crash, but CiV has been doing this since initial release. My guess would be the makers also don't have a clue, as there have been 2 patches not fixing the issue.
