Hi, I'm a newbie in Civ and Civ 5 is my first ever Civ.:wavey:

Kremlin gives +50% Production when building armored units.

But is it just for the city it is built or is it for all cities?

Only in the city where the Kremlin is built. If you have an armored unit queued and mouse hover over the production detail, the tooltip will show "Modifier for Unit Combat Class: 50%".

do conquered ideology wonders work for the player with a different ideology?
e.g. i'm autocracy and i capture cremlin..

Yes they do, I often choose Freedom and build Statue of Liberty then switch to Order. The specialist production bonus from SOL still applies even though I'm not following Freedom anymore.

Two new tidbits! Thanks everyone.

Only in the city where the Kremlin is built.

I was not expecting that, no wonder I found the buff underwhelming! Are not the other two idelogical WW empire wide? Or do they only buff a single city as well?

A note on building/capturing Prora: even though the civolopedia says "...social policies unlocked..." it seems you only get happiness for the number of ideological policies unlocked.

I like Prora even more than SOL, but it did seem like it was not quite as good as it should be. Yours is a very helpful observation!

Yep, decidedly the crappiest of the three ideology wonders.

Still, it ain't like Order doesn't have plenty going for it.

Air units are not classified as armor units, but it wouldn't be the first time the in-game text was wrong. Have you observed Kremlin providing a production boost to air units?

Now this is something I haven't thought of or tried. I can see this being huge in my games. Open Freedom first to build the SoL since you are frist to Ideology anyway... you might even be able to open Freedom, build SoL, and get back into Order for Autocracy before another civ has even opened an ideology on Deity. This is pushing it but I bet someone could figure a way out of how to get all 3 buildings. I guess something with faith buying GEs and GSs to get to the techs fast enough and the GEs to build them up instantly. I have to admit I will be trying to figure out how to do this!!

You cannot switch ideologies willy-nilly. The only way to switch is in response to ideological pressure, which can't happen if you have the only ideology.

Just double checked this. Prora does provide 1 happiness for every 2 social policies and ideological tenets adopted. Because happiness only increments in whole numbers, you will see no happiness change when you adopt an "odd-numbered" policy or tenet (i.e., your 11th, 13th, 15th, etc. policy or tenet); the extra happiness will appear when you adopt your next (even-numbered) policy or tenet.

And it also works if you have a different ideology (for example if you switch from autocracy after building it)?

Yes, once built, it keeps working, whether or not you stay with Autocracy or are forced to switch to another ideology.
