Hello Fellow Die Hard Civ 5 Fans:

WOW!!!

From some great advice on this forum I played my game on city management to Food. I then used every tile I basically had built to Farm unless it was deer, cows, coal, etc. Playing Darius on continents I had a vast area of land and slowly but surely filled it all up or just about and had the city set to Food the entire time. My city has grown up to about 55 and perhaps it's as high as 60. I have done the same with my other cities and using all land as farms unless it's needs to be something else.

How many people play this way as a basic standard or just think how else would I manage my city.

I think I will use this approach for future games for a while.

Thanks

Due to nonce issues every time a city grows, it's actually more efficient to lock the tiles yourself to food tiles every time they grow as opposed to placing city management on food.

Basically, the city's new person is born too late for any food produced in the tile he works to be counted that same turn, but in just in time for any other yield to count.
