NO MORE pop ups???

I can't beleive my eyes!
I'm already here for half an hour; posted 5 messages and read ten others....and well NO POP UPS ARE APPEARING!

Does that mean it's over???

I can't imagine how much money they make off of these popups.

Everytime I go to a new page of the forum one of them come up. Then they automatically go to the background, and when I click on them from the start bar, the somehow minimize so by the time I manage to close them, they are loaded already.

If they make 10 cents per popup, then everytime I make a trip to the forum they make a couple of dollars.

Edit note: It's now 10:04. The popups are starting again.

I've noticed that for the past two weeks the ad server has been down quite often, which means no pop-ups, but until this place gets a new server they will continue

Hey, it's 11:48 Eastern US time and I've not had a pop-up for about 30 minutes or so. I was wondering if this is across the board with everyone, but it looks as though this may only be sporadic.

I can only hope!!

When BorderPatrol post his reply about the pop-ups mine came back as well. I left for thirty minutes and came back and haven't seen one yet.

I've been off & on since 4pm (Pacific), it's now 10pm (Pacific) & I haven't seen a single pop up. To whoever it was that put a stop to this nonsense I applaud you.

Wow you sent them a lot of money all I did was send them a couple of E-mails saying that they should stop making pop ups on Civ Fanatics

I was getting pop-ups all morning at work (8-10 pacific), but not getting any here at home. May must be my old version of Netscape not allowing them? If only I could be so lucky.

A small blessing. The big casino pop ups are gone for me, and replaced with some "Fox" stuff which is small. It is an improvement, so me and my goat will be staying put.

HMM yes, it seems to have stopped raining. I'm not running POW right now and no pop ups. However, the server is really pissing me off tonite...SO SLOW. I hate running around the boards with graphics turned off, I can't see anything.
