Difficulty differences

Hi!

Starting a new thread as I am sure it will not clutter up the forum since few new entries are made. This pertains to the wiki I am making.

I am wondering about the differences between the difficulty settings.

I play on the hardest difficulty, but it does not seem that the other colonial powers receive any extra buffs, they pretty much seem like they do on the lower difficulty settings. I also cannot see that units cost any more (I am using the price of Galleon as benchmark - it seems to be 9000 on most settings)

So I am wondering what exactly is the difference?

Simply take a look at CIV4HandicapInfo.xml.
It should be almost self explaining.
