Poland and Religion

I am currently playing Poland, on a Prince Level map.
I have 384 religious points and cannot even select a religion (only 10 of us on the map total).

Never has given me any option under religion.... is this normal for Poland?
 
You probably were too late to start one. Check the Religion screen where it gives an overview of how much cities each religion possess and check at the bottom how many religions are still able to be founded.
 
Yeah, religion is a privilege you have to fight for, not an automatic bonus you get for being nice.
 
Hover over the faith per turn gauge, it'll tell you when you can spawn your next Great Prophet.
 
Aren't there 8 players on a standard map, not 10?
 
7 Religions is the max on Huge map (12 players)
6 Religions is the max on Large maps (10)
5 Religions is the max on Standard Maps (8)
4 Religions is the max on Small maps (6)
3 Religions is the max on Tiny maps (4)
and 2 Religions is the max on Duel maps (2)
