Correlation btw Difficulty and Victory Score/Ranking

I've been playing civ for over a decade and never took an interest in how it was calculated before now. The only reason it caught my attention was that I won a crap game on warlord and got a huge score, then next played a wicked game on king and got a terrible score.

If anyone could break it down for me I would appreciate it

It's basically just a set amount per point of population, per tile, per tech, and per wonder you have. I've also heard there's a multiplier for winning faster. No adjustment for difficulty.
