What are some of the best free to play games online now that don't take up too much space?
 
Shameless plug for Planetside 2. Love that game.

Requires a great computer to handle it though.

EDIT: 10 gigs of space though, not sure if that's big or not to you
 
I mean dota 2 is awesome and free, doesn't require a hugely powerful pc.
 
define "best"? megamek is cool if you really like mechs, but good luck finding someone to play with.

and quake live!, you can play it straight from your browser with a free account.

I'll second this. Big battles in Planetside 2 are fantastic.
