Black Tower and White Tower

As it stands, the Black Tower and the White Tower have these benefits: +100% :science:, +1 free specialist, and can turn 1 citizen into sage. Now, they need somethin to set them apart.
So, let's look at the Theme for both of them. The Black Tower is obviously sposed to be an evil Tower. And the White Tower is likewise good. Then both are, obviously, sposed to be magic as they both require the "Magical Philosophy" tech. So, we have an evil tower of magic and a good tower of magic. But they need somethin else, somethin more to set them apart. Some bonus, an obviously evil bonus that might make evil civs wanna build the Black Tower. Then an offsettin good bonus that might make good civs wanna build the White Tower. I haven't thought of any two bonuses like I described but I'm sure I will later and I'd be happy to hear anyone's thoughts on it.



Then, off a slightly off-note (but no less important one), the Black Tower needs new unique graphics, same as many other wonders currently do. I can experiment a lil and do that tho.
 
A possible enhancement for both towers would be to "amp" the culture of its owners.
If one wanted to adhere to the "good" vs "evil" then a prereq could be having a "good" religion for the white, and an "evil" religion for the black.

Building a tower on a static border then could be used push the borders without conflict.
 
True. That is one idea. And it's course up to Darque whether that goes in.

Tho, I was thinkin somethin more aggressive. For example, in FfH, there's a wonder that can increase the amount of skeletons your civ can summon with the Death I promotion. Now, I don't want that exactly. But I'm tryin to think of somethin with that kinda flavour for the Black Tower that still very original. And, of course, somethin with opposite flavour for the White Tower.
 
Actually i was thinking the same thing, being able to produce additional units, or perhaps an additional three National Level units??? The culture amp was meant to be proposed in addition to the basic bonuses you originally mentioned, as well as some kind of unit production would be good too.
