I was reading through a few of the older threads talking about the most gold per turn and most happiness, so I decided to challenge myself to see what the highest I could get science, gold on hand, gold per turn, culture and faith.

My goals for this game were:

Science: 30,000 per turn
Gold: 50,000 per turn
Happiness: 1500
Culture: 10,000 per turn
Faith: 1,000 per turn

I had planned to play this out until 2020, but since I control 95% of the map, have one opposing city left, I am ending it on turn 1,515 - October 1979.

Here are the setup details:

Map Size: Huge
Map type: Pangea
Difficulty Level: Warlord
Number of Civs: 7
City States: 5
My Civ: Washington/America
Victory Condition: Domination

I used A LOT of wonders. I included a collection of the mods I used for this challenge. It can be found here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=144559311

Some observations I noticed during gameplay. Once you begin to get above 1,500 happiness, you don't always get the correct amount from buildings that give happiness. For example, the amusement park building should give 4 happiness, but I noticed on more than 1 occasion the happiness total would only increase by one, not four.

Science it appears to have a soft cap, between 25,000 - 30,000 the science gain was relatively small for each new building, but once I broke the 30,000 mark it seemed to start growing at normal rates.

If anyone has any questions about this, feel free to ask.

This is most likely because you hit the local happiness cap for your cities. For example, if you had a population of 31 and a local happiness of 30, a theatre would only give you 1 more happiness.

More often than not when I saw it, I was purchasing buildings in newly built cities with under 10 population. Once I had all the buildings purchased, I changed the production build to gold and left it alone to grow.

I should mention that it would only happen occasionally, not every time. Also, if I purchased a stadium and it gave 1 instead of 4(5?), but would purchase another happiness building, the second would give the full amount.

It applies to any size city. Your local happiness can't exceed the population of the city.

Ah, that's weird then.

I'd like to see something like this for a non-modified game. Looking at the beliefs and seeing +15% science/gold for beliefs definitely skews the numbers.

I will admit the 15% made the gold per turn easier, but in all honesty I don't think the 15% science really helped all that much. It does in the early parts of the game, but with some of the other mods I used, I had a significantly higher bonus over what I got from the beliefs.
